About Us
Gatehouse Farm is the home of Gatehouse Haylage and Gatehouse Livery. Situated on a south facing slope near Ryde on the Isle of Wight it has been farmed by the Beak family for over 50 years.
Ken & Alan Beak and their families have been growing and producing quality haylage and hay from the farm since 2003.
Prior to this we had a dairy herd of 150 milking cows for many years so we have considerable knowledge of grass production.
We believe that quality is paramount so all our haylage and hay is home grown. We manage the harvesting operation personally to ensure that everything we produce meets our high standards.
We appreciate that many horse owners have limited storage for forage, so we provide a frequent and reliable Islandwide delivery service customised for small quantities.
We will normally be able to deliver bales directly to your storage shed – so no further handling is required by the customer.
We aim to minimise our impact on climate change and keep the countryside tidy so we maintain an efficient delivery system and provide a recycling service for customer’s clean discarded wrap.
